Growing up in Texas, Ryan had a fishing rod in his hand by the age of three and entered his first professional bass tournament at 13. Over a decade ago, finding himself no longer satisfied chasing largemouth bass in the southern states, Ryan found his way to the greater Yellowstone area with fly rod in tow. In 2008, he finally moved to Yellowstone country, found work in the fly fishing industry, and now proudly calls Last Chance, Idaho, his home. Ryan has a knack for tailoring each client’s day to their experience level and learning styles. An accomplished guitar player and singer, Ryan often treats TroutHunter guests to a few front-porch tunes. As soon as fall hunting season begins, he spends his free time in the field chasing upland game birds with his faithful Labrador Retrievers, River and Junior.
